Sports and Entertainment Day for Employees and Their Families at ETHYDCO

In line with the directives of H.E. Eng. Karim
Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, emphasizing the importance
of promoting sports culture, expanding its base, developing activities, and
encouraging regular practice, the Sports Committee of the Egyptian Ethylene and
Derivatives Company (ETHYDCO) organized a Sports and Entertainment Day
for employees and their families.
The event was held under the patronage of Chemist
Hesham Riyad, Chairman and Managing Director of ETHYDCO, on Saturday,
October 25, 2025, at Alex West Club in Alexandria.
The day’s activities included a wide variety of
competitions and games suitable for all age groups—youth, adults, women, and
children—such as running races and Spinning (stationary cycling), which
attracted great participation, in addition to trampoline activities that
were particularly popular among children.
The event was filled with joy, enthusiasm, and a
spirit of togetherness among participants throughout the day. At the conclusion
of the activities, awards were presented to the winners, and the Sports
Committee presented a commemorative shield to the company’s Chairman in
appreciation of his continuous support for all sports activities.
In his remarks, Chemist Hesham Riyad
emphasized that the goal of bringing employees and their families together is
to strengthen social ties, promote familiarity, and deepen the sense of
belonging to this organization that everyone takes pride in. He added that
promoting awareness of the importance of sports as a way of life—whether
at work, at home, or anywhere else—has a positive impact on public health,
workplace environment, and employee performance, ultimately contributing to
increased productivity.
He extended his sincere appreciation for the
positive and fruitful cooperation from the management and members of Alex
West Club, praising the exceptional efforts made by the company’s Sports
Committee in organizing this event for the second consecutive year.
