As part of ETHYDCO’s commitment to participating in major international exhibitions — considered vital marketing and knowledge platforms for exploring the latest innovations and technologies in the petrochemical industry — a company delegation headed by Chemist Hesham Riad, Chairman and Managing Director of the Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Company (ETHYDCO), took part in K-Fair 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for plastics and rubber, held in Düsseldorf, Germany, in its 24th edition.
This year’s exhibition hosted over 2,000 international companies and welcomed more than 20,000 visitors, bringing together under one roof all key global players in this vital industry — including producers, decision-makers, machinery and equipment manufacturers, engineers, and R&D teams — to exchange expertise, discuss emerging trends, and address critical topics such as the circular economy, digitalization, and sustainability, in addition to showcasing innovative solutions in the plastics and rubber sectors.
Throughout the exhibition, which ran from October 8 to 15, ETHYDCO’s delegation held several meetings with existing clients and distributors from around the world, engaging in extensive discussions about the company’s products and customers’ expectations. The team also met with a number of potential partners and clients to explore new market opportunities.
Chemist Hesham Riad emphasized that the exhibition offered an excellent opportunity for direct engagement with global distributors to expand into new markets and highlight the competitive advantages of ETHYDCO’s products. He noted that K-Fair is not merely a trade show but also a global forum that showcases the latest developments and contemporary challenges facing the plastics industry — including sustainability, energy efficiency, resource optimization, and investment opportunities across multiple sectors.
The event also featured the presentation of the latest technologies in recycling and reducing the carbon footprint of the plastics industry, as well as discussions on the future outlook of this vital sector and its growing applications in automotive manufacturing, medical technology, electronics, packaging, construction, and infrastructure projects.
It is worth noting that the K-Fair was first launched in 1952 and has since been held every three years in October in the city of Düsseldorf, Germany.
