  • Ethydco Approves 2024 Results, Achieves 100% of Its Production Plan and 38% Growth in Revenues

    Tue, 19-Aug-2025

Engineer Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, affirmed that petrochemical products represent a fundamental pillar of the national economy due to their vital role in providing key inputs for a wide range of industries, boosting exports, substituting imports, and supplying essential materials for different sectors. He explained that these products are used in the manufacture of many daily life necessities, such as gas, water and sewage pipes, packaging and wrapping industries, plastic containers, and medical supplies.

This came during the General Assembly meeting of the Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Company (Ethydco) to approve the company’s results for the fiscal year 2024, in the presence of petroleum sector leaders.

    A Clear Development Plan

The Minister directed the company to adopt a medium-term plan to maximize the utilization of locally produced feedstock, particularly natural gas rich in derivatives, while stressing the importance of innovation and technology in developing petrochemical products with high added value to enhance the company’s competitiveness regionally and globally.
