About Ethydco / Company Overview

 

The Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Company (ETHYDCO) is an Egyptian joint stock company established on January, 16th, 2011 under Egyptian investment law with total investment cost of US $ 1.9 Billion.


ETHYDCO’s petrochemicals complex is the largest in Egypt and Africa, implemented with the latest state of art technology to be a leading provider of advanced and high quality products (Linear Low & High Density Polyethylene, Polybutadiene).

 

ETHYDCO, in the first half of year 2018, obtained the following International Certificates:

  • ISO 9001:2015 Certificate (Quality Management System)
  • ISO 14001:2015 Certificate (Environmental Management System)
  • OHSAS 18001:2007 Certificate (Occupational Safety and Health Management System)

 


Moreover, ETHYDCO has been certified ISO 50001:2011 for the Energy Management System in the first half of year 2018 without any Minor or Major Nonconformities, and issuance of the certificate from the Certification Body “SGS” is in progress.

Total Quality Management Systems General Department is making great efforts with cooperation of concerned departments to qualify the company to obtain:

ISO 17025:2017 (General requirements for the efficiency of testing and calibration laboratories)

ISO 26000:2010 (Social Responsibility)
